Shamanic Herbalism Apprenticeship 2026

Step in to the realm of Herbal Shamanism: An eight month journey to speak the language of the Plant Kingdom and become a Shamanic Plant Communicator.

The Shamanic Herbalism Apprenticeship is a unique blend of ancient wisdom and practical herbalism. It is an eight-month transformational journey for those ready to deepen their spiritual path, reconnect with the Earth, and learn to walk in reverence with the Plant Kingdom. Rooted in shamanic practices and earth-honouring spirituality, this apprenticeship blends earth wisdom with hands-on herbal medicine-making to support healing, empowerment, and ecological remembrance.

Plants and trees are conscious, intelligent beings. When approached with reverence and reciprocity, they become generous teachers - offering guidance, insight, and healing. Through intentional relationship and sacred plant communication, we learn to listen with more than our ears, reawakening our intuitive senses and remembering our place in the web of life.

This path is one of transformation and spiritual renewal, guided by the plants themselves. As we learn to attune to their energy and spirit, we also discover how to create potent herbal remedies, infusions, and medicines that support wellness on every level—body, mind, and soul.

Held over seven three-day immersive modules, this apprenticeship will guide you through the Seven States of Being and the Five Directional Medicine Wheel, introducing you to a rich tapestry of shamanic teachings, energy healing practices, nature-based rituals, and direct plant encounters. You’ll learn to identify and connect with plant allies, prepare your own plant medicines, and engage in ceremonies that awaken ancestral memory and intuitive knowing.

By the end of the program, you will have the grounding, tools, and spiritual insight to communicate confidently with the Plant Kingdom. You’ll graduate as a Shamanic Plant Kingdom Communicator - a bridge between worlds - walking your path with clarity, balance, and a deepened sense of purpose rooted in service to the Earth.

Take your place in the Shamanic Herbal Circle as you embark on a sacred journey into the Plant Kingdom.

What do I need?

Most materials will be provided as part of the apprenticeship. However, you may need a few items if you don’t already have them (for example a smudging feather and smudging bowl), plus there are a few books you may. want to purchase. We recommend setting aside around £100 for materials.

Is there work to do between modules?

Yes, there is. We offer practical guidance and reflective practices to help you deepen your relationship with the Plant Kingdom between modules.

Each cycle includes:

  • Suggested practices ("homework") designed to help you integrate what you've learned and explore specific techniques in more depth — around 1–2 hours.

  • Reading material, which will take approximately 1 hour.

  • A reflective practice form, sent before the next module, to support your integration process — this usually takes 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how much you choose to share.

In total, we recommend setting aside about 4 hours between modules to dedicate to the apprenticeship. And of course, if you feel called to spend more time with the plants — that's always encouraged.
